This page provides information about the IELTS test. There are three available test formats: Paper-based, Computer-based, and Online (at home). You can click the links below to learn more about each format. Explanations are available in both English and Thai.

You take the Listening, Reading, and Writing sections using pen and paper at a test centre.

The Speaking test is done face-to-face with an examiner, usually on the same day or within a few days before/after.

You take the Listening, Reading, and Writing sections on a computer at an official test centre.

The Speaking test is still done in person with a human examiner (not on a computer).

Results are typically faster (within 3–5 days).

You take the Academic version only, on your own computer from home.

All four skills – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking – are completed online.

The Speaking test is conducted via video call with a live examiner.

Your device, room, and ID are checked, and the test is monitored by a human proctor.
